US Embassy bomb threat

The Embassy of the United States in Santo Domingo confirmed yesterday, in a brief statement, having received a bomb threat via telephone, prompting the activation of investigative agencies and of State security, who seized several areas of that diplomatic mission and consulate.

"As it is routine in such cases, the Dominican national police was notified and immediately increased patrols around the Embassy and the Consulate as a precautionary measure," said the statement from the Embassy, which highlights the support received by the institution police.
