According to the Central Bank, last August the number of transactions with credit cards exceeded RD$ 33.3 million, an increase of 15%, compared to 29.050 operations of the first eight months de2010.
If analysed in annual terms in 2010 cardholders used this method of payment 44.7 million times, 3.7 million rather than run in 2009. These results are equivalent to 9% growth in operations, and shows that the remarkable preference of users towards credit cards, has been exhibited in the past three years.
