Vargas says 50% of land has no title

Vargas, in a meeting with the leadership of the Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD), defined it as the “lack of concern” that in his opinion the government has had with the agricultural sector because farmers are increasingly affected by the lack of funding caused by problems such as title issues, technology, marketing and production costs and supplies.
The PRD’s presidential candidate stated that the insecurity also affects farmers, because they have to hire additional staff to care for their properties.
On annother matter, Vargas said that the statements of several bishops against President Leonel Fernandez’s re-election is part of a cry from all sectors of society that oppose Fernandez from changing the constitution to run again as Presidential candidate.
