Wind and rain impedes traffic in Sosua

The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecast light rains and strong winds along Dominican Republics north coast during the week, as a weak frontal system that would continue its influence over the region.
The lower than average temperatures for the season are also attributed to the cold front.
The strong winds had the biggest effect in Sosua where telephone poles alongside the main highway were blown down om the early hours of the morning, impeding traffic for up to five hours.
