Erika Albania and Cristina are two young Dominican mothers who had natural in the our Lady of La Altagracia maternity childbirth, both admit that the initial process was painful, but they are convinced that was the best thing that could move them because a few hours they were given high, they had no health complications and integrated quickly into their normal routine.

At the health center are recorded each year around 21,000 births, of which 38 per cent are through procedures of caesarean section.

The ginecoobstetra Héc - tor Eusebius, with more than 30 years of practice, recognizes that there are currently better diagnoses that lead to the doctor to know when a c-section, is suitable but understands that women should be given the opportunity to have their children naturally provided there are no contraindications.

For Yanet Olivares, leader of the League of milk, the number of Caesarean sections that are practised in the country u000aIt is worrying, as it is estimated that only 10 per cent of women require surgery at the time of giving birth and understand necessary to initiate a campaign to raise awareness both the doctor and the pregnant mother.

Both Erika as Cristina, with a month and six days of having their children, respectively, they were yesterday at the maternity hospital La Altagracia in checks to follow up on their children.

They claim that they are very happy to have had their children in a way natural.

Dr. Eusebius said that there are specific causes which make necessary an indication of a cesarean section as it is the little fluid, pelvic births or when the child is sitting on preterm births, teen very young, among others.

"Is true has increased, but not at the levels that speaks the PAHO, said specialist to refer to data from the Pan American Health Organization that 90 per cent of births in private schools is through u000ac-section.

It recommended that you convening a meeting between authorities, specialized medical societies, universities, representatives of private clinics and social security to discuss all matters concerning the topic.
