You Montas calls comply with Haiti

Viewed 25 times.The Dominican economy, Themistocles Montás, Minister ratified here, in an international forum inaugurated by the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) and the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the pediment of its country to the international community to fulfil its commitment to rebuild Haiti.
In the "fourth forum of high level on the effectiveness of aid", sponsored by the Organization for cooperation in economic development (OECD), which brings together the most developed countries in the world, Montas touched this issue in responding to questions from the moderator of a panel in which they participated.
The Conclave was opened with speeches by South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak, of Ban Ki-Moon, of José Angel Gurria, Secretary general of the OECD; Hillary Clinton, American Secretary of State and of the Queen of Jordan, reported the communications unit of the Ministry of finance, planning and development
The official shared with u000aeconomy and Finance Ministers in Europe, Asia and Africa on the panel "A comprehensive and inclusive approach: towards a strategy for the OECD on development", in which referred to the Haitian issue in response to the interest of the moderator to know the impact of such migration in the Dominican development.
Reminded the audience that one of the very determinants of migration flows is the uneven development of the two countries who share a same island.
Dominican, partly said, he has played an important role in the agricultural sectors and construction mainly.
Montas informed the audience about Dominican laws regulating the labour market, which ensure equal treatment for nationals and foreigners.
He also said that his country is in a process of strengthening the existing and establish other mechanisms for the control of the border.
