Youngster shot dead in Cabarete over drugs

A young man was shot dead ocer an incident relating to control of a distribution point for drugs, police said on Monday.
The victim was identified as Tefilo Paniagua Paulino, alias Teo, 26 years old, who lived in the Cabarete main street.
Paulino Paniagua died of multiple gunshots to his head, according to the medical examiner, Dr. Hilda Pea.
Police say 500 Haitian pesos and three hand guns were found next to the corpse.
The citys Police Commander said in its report that the victim was shot by other young people from the same community over control of a drug outlet that operates between Cabarete and Gaspar Hernandez.
Police have since arrested Frank Flix Vsquez lvarez, alias Patana, who has admitted taking part in the incident.
lvarez says he was not the shooter but blames two others, identified by him as Hctor and Sandy, who police are actively searching for.
